## How to get an ID (signup)
DataMail accounts are created only through the iOS or Android app; there is no signup form on the website. Download the app, choose a language, and sign up in a minute. A welcome email confirms the new address. From then on, sign in from the app or from webmail at https://mail.datamail.in in any browser. Webmail is for signing in, not for creating an account.

## Why DataMail (four ideas)
1. Native-script address: the whole address, domain included, can be written in the user's script, not just the interface. This is built on IDN/EAI support at the protocol level, the same standard Dr. Ajay Data helped write as Co-Chair of ICANN's Neo-Brahmi Generation Panel.
2. AI Compose: turns a short prompt into a full draft in the language the user is writing in, tuned for business follow-ups, customer replies, and everyday correspondence.
3. Security inherited from the enterprise product: DataMail runs on the XgenPlus platform, the same infrastructure Data Xgen Technologies sells to banks, PSUs and government departments.
4. Honest unlimited storage: watch a short ad, get more space, no hard ceiling, no forced paid upgrade, no card on file.

## Security
Four layers, in order:
1. Spam and virus filtering, automatically, on every message, incoming and outgoing, on by default.
2. Encrypted transport between the device and DataMail's servers, the same protection used by banking apps.
3. Protection against lookalike-script scam addresses. Supporting 16 languages creates a risk of visually near-identical addresses in different scripts; Dr. Ajay Data helped write the ICANN rules that specifically block this.
4. Biometric, face, or PIN app lock, so a lost phone is not a lost inbox.

Certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 20000-1, CMMI Level 3, Class A ISP License (DoT, Government of India). Held by Data Ingenious Global Limited, the technology parent Data Xgen Technologies operates under. Security FAQ:

Q: Does anyone at DataMail read my email?
A: No. Your messages are private. Automated systems scan for spam and viruses the same way any email provider does, but nobody at DataMail reads your mail.

Q: Is my password safe?
A: Your password is never stored in plain text, and the connection between your device and DataMail's servers is encrypted, so it can't be intercepted in transit.

Q: What happens if I lose my phone?
A: The DataMail app can be locked with your fingerprint, face, or a PIN. Without that, whoever has your phone can't open your inbox.

Q: Is DataMail safe for children and students to use?
A: Yes. Every account gets the same spam and virus filtering, encrypted connections, and app lock as any other. There's no lighter-weight, less-protected tier for free or student accounts.

Q: If DataMail is free, how does it stay funded and secure?
A: DataMail runs on the same XgenPlus infrastructure that XgenPlus sells to paying enterprise and government customers: banks, PSUs, defense-adjacent organizations. Free accounts share that same infrastructure and its security, not a cut-down version of it.
