Why Arabic needs its own address
Arabic is written right-to-left and cursively: most letters take a different shape at the start, middle and end of a word, and the shaping happens at render time from a single stored letter. That is why an Arabic address on DataMail looks joined-up in an inbox even though the underlying data is a plain sequence of Unicode letters. Arabic was also first to internationalised country domains: Egypt's .مصر, Saudi Arabia's .السعودية and the UAE's .امارات were the first three delegated, in 2010. Arabic is official across the Middle East and North Africa and read by hundreds of millions of people for whom Latin-script addresses are a second alphabet.

That's possible because of Email Address Internationalization (EAI), a technical standard that lets an email address use scripts beyond plain ASCII. An address like الدعم@داده.امارات isn't a display trick over a hidden Latin-script address; it's the real, deliverable address, the same way name@example.com is.

How to create a free Arabic email address.
