Sign in on a computer without typing a password.
Webmail at mail.datamail.in accepts your ID and password like any mail service. It also offers a passwordless route: a 20-second code from the app. This is the one to use on a shared or office computer.
Four steps, about a minute.
- On the computer, open webmail and choose "Login via App". Go to mail.datamail.in, click Login, then Login via App. A box appears asking for a code.
- On the phone, open Web Login. In the DataMail app, open the menu and choose Web Login.
- Generate the code. Tap Generate Web Login Code. The app shows a short code with a 20-second countdown.
- Enter the code on the computer and click "Log Me In". You are in. No password was typed on the web, so nothing was left in the browser to steal.
Tap Generate again. Codes are single-use and time-limited on purpose, so a code glimpsed over your shoulder is useless a few seconds later. There is no limit on how many you generate.
The ordinary way still works
Enter your DataMail ID and password on the webmail login page. Use the app route when you would rather not type a password on a machine you do not control.
There is no signup on webmail
IDs are created only in the app, using your mobile number and a one-time SMS code. If you are looking for a new address, start with the free email page or download the app.
Forgot your password
Use the forgot-password link on the webmail login page. If that does not work, write to support@datamail.in from any address, quoting your DataMail ID.
