Dr. Ajay Data
Less than 10% of the world's email servers accept a local-language address. This is the person who's spent two decades trying to change that number, and the engineer who wrote the server that does it.
“If users can type the domain name in their own language, be it Bengali, Farsi or Tagalog, the internet finally becomes accessible to everyone.”01. The engineer, not just the policy figureDr. Ajay Data, UASG interview, InternetX
Core Architect, XgenPlus / DataMail
Personally designed the enterprise email server architecture powering XgenPlus: the full mail stack, not a managed layer on someone else's infrastructure. Message transport, retrieval, delivery, filtering and access (IMAP, SMTP, POP, anti-spam gateway, webmail). The same protocol depth now secures 50M+ mailboxes in production.

Why this matters for DataMailDataMail is where the standards work meets your inbox
DataMail isn't a side project bolted onto an enterprise platform. It's the consumer expression of the exact standards work Dr. Ajay Data does at ICANN, written by the same person who architected the mail server underneath it. The variant rules that stop look-alike-script domain fraud, the Root Zone rules for nine Indic scripts, the global EAI agenda from his UASG chairmanship: all of it runs underneath the free product, not just the enterprise one.
