Why Gujarati needs its own address
The Gujarati script grew out of Devanagari but dropped the shirorekha, the horizontal line that runs along the top of Hindi letters, which gives Gujarati its lighter, more open look. It is the script of Gujarat and of one of the world's largest diasporas: Gujarati communities in East Africa, the United Kingdom and North America have used the language across three or four generations. A Gujarati address such as the example above can be read aloud by a grandparent in Ahmedabad and typed by a grandchild in Leicester, with the same characters on both ends. How to create a free Gujarati email address.
