DataMail ("DataMail," "Website" or "Service") is operated by Data Xgen Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Data Xgen," "we," "our" or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information in connection with DataMail.

We are committed to responsible processing of personal information in accordance with applicable laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, to the extent applicable.

F. Paid Services and Billing Information

The basic DataMail service is free. If you choose optional Paid Services, we may collect or receive information such as selected plan, subscription status, service period, transaction reference, invoice information, billing details, payment status and information needed to process refunds, cancellations or billing support.

Payment card, banking or other sensitive payment credentials may be processed directly by payment service providers rather than stored by Data Xgen, depending on the payment method and technical implementation.

3. How We Use Personal Information

• create and administer DataMail accounts;
• authenticate users and protect accounts;
• provide, operate, maintain and improve DataMail;
• send, receive, store, synchronize and deliver email;
• provide mailbox and related service functionality;

We do not sell personal information.

4. Processing of Email Content

DataMail is an email service and must technically process email messages and related information to transmit, deliver, store, synchronize and protect the Service.

Data Xgen may use automated technical systems to detect spam, malware, phishing, fraud, abuse, security threats and service anomalies. Where reasonably necessary for security, abuse investigation, technical support, legal compliance or other purposes permitted by applicable law, Data Xgen may access or process relevant information subject to applicable safeguards.

Data Xgen does not use the content of private email communications for targeted advertising.

5. Legal Basis and Consent

Where applicable law requires consent, Data Xgen will obtain and manage consent in the manner required by law. Where processing is permitted or required without consent, Data Xgen may process personal information for purposes permitted under applicable law, including providing the Service, processing requested Paid Services, complying with legal obligations, protecting security, preventing abuse and pursuing legitimate business purposes recognized by law.

6. Sharing and Disclosure

We may disclose or provide access to personal information where reasonably necessary to:

• technology, hosting, infrastructure, security and service providers supporting DataMail;
• customer-support and operational service providers;

• parties involved in legal proceedings, investigations or enforcement of our rights, where legally permitted; and

Backups and technical logs may continue to contain information for a limited period after deletion in accordance with our operational retention practices.

The datamail.in website uses Google Analytics, with IP anonymisation enabled, to measure page views and clicks on download, sign-in and business-enquiry links. Business enquiries submitted through the website form are relayed to our support inbox by a form-delivery provider and used only to respond to that enquiry.

You can control cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.
